Location:

The plenary talks and oral sessions will take place at Woodburn Hall (1100 E 7th St, Bloomington IN 47406).

Lunch and the poster session will take place at the nearby Indiana Memorial Union (IMU, 900 E 7th St, Bloomington IN 47405).

Parking:

Parking in IU parking garages is free on the weekends. The two closest parking garages to conference locations are the Poplars Garage and the Jordan Avenue Garage.

There are also pay parking lots right next to the IMU. Information on pricing can be found on the IMU website.  This lot is free to IMU Biddle Hotel guests.

If you have a physical disability please contact us and we can get you a temporary IU disabled parking pass. You will also need to display your state-issued disabled parking pass or license place in/on your vehicle. More information about IU policies for disabled parking permits can be found here.

Lodging:

Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington

A block of rooms is reserved for MEEC participants at the Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington located on the square downtown. The rooms will be available at a reduced rate of $125 plus tax per night (including parking, normally $6) on a first-come-first-served basis until February 28th. The hotel is located 0.8 miles away from Woodburn Hall, and the 17-minute walk to the conference site takes you through scenic downtown Bloomington.

Courtyard Bloomington Marriott

A block of rooms is reserved for MEEC participants at the Courtyard Bloomington Marriott located on the southwest side of downtown. The rooms will be available at a reduced rate of $119 plus tax per night on a first-come-first-served basis, and these rates have been extended through the first week in March. Parking is complimentary. There are limited number of triple rooms available (two Queen beds and a fold-out couch) that can sleep 6 people comfortably. The hotel is located 1.1 miles away from Woodburn Hall, and the 22-minute walk to the conference site can be routed to take you through scenic downtown Bloomington.

IMU Biddle Hotel

There is also a small block of rooms reserved at the IMU Biddle Hotel located on campus at a reduced rate of $113 (single) or $162 (double) plus tax per night.

Other Hotels

There are many other chain hotels located within close driving distance of the IU campus for those traveling on a tighter budget, including Days Inn and Quality Inn.
